Intro to Kitesurfing
Level 1 | Water Fundamentals
Ready to transition from land to sea? This 2-hour session is where it gets real. We focus on kite control, power generation, and your first body drags in open water.
The BN1 Edge: Everyone learns at a different pace. We prioritize mastery over speed, meaning skills are practiced and repeated until you’re confident. Most students require multiple Level 1 sessions to fully sharpen their water skills before moving to the board.

• The Rig: LEI kite setup, rigging, and pre-flight checks.
• Flight Control: Launching, landing, and mastering the power zone.
• Body Dragging: Mastering power and direction through the water.
• Safety: Deep-water self-rescue and emergency protocols.

Intro to Board Skills
Level 2 | Riding Fundamentals
This is where it all comes together. We take your kite control and apply it to the board. The goal: mastering the “Water Start” and getting you up and riding your first meters across the water.
The BN1 Edge: 1:1 coaching means 100% focus on your control and timing. We repeat the water start until muscle memory takes over. Like Level 1, students often require multiple sessions to progress from their first pop-up to sustained riding.
What You’ll Master
• Technique: Board positioning and water start mechanics.
• The Launch: Coordinating kite power to get you up and moving.
• First Rides: Managing power delivery for steady, prolonged runs.
• Awareness: Navigation basics and riding safely around others.

Whether you’re a complete beginner wanting to move at your own pace or an intermediate rider looking to nail transitions, stay upwind, or boost your first jumps, this is for you. No curriculum, just your goals.
The BN1 Edge: This is bespoke training. We use our 1:1 time to troubleshoot your specific sticking points, using real-time feedback to fast-track your confidence on the water.

ADVANCED COACHING
Supervised Hire
Independence with a Safety Net
Ready to ride but not quite ready to go it alone? Supervised Hire gives you the freedom to practice on top-tier equipment while an instructor keeps a professional eye on you. It’s the perfect bridge between lessons and total independence.
The BN1 Edge: This isn’t just a rental. We provide a short assessment to ensure you’re safe, then give you the space to ride. We are right there on the beach if you need a hand with a launch, a landing, or a quick tip to stay upwind.
Safety Requirements
To ensure safety on the water, all riders must:
• Wear PPE: A buoyancy aid and helmet must be worn at all times.
• Demonstrate Upwind Riding: Ability to maintain ground in various conditions.
• Master Board Retrieval: Proficiency in body dragging to recover your board.
• Understand Safety: A solid grasp of self-rescue and emergency protocols.
Duration & Cost
• Format: Supervised Solo Riding
• Time: 1.5 Hours (minimum)
• Price: £135 (Based on £90 per hour)

Equipment Hire
Independent Riding
For advanced riders who are fully independent but traveling light or looking to try different gear. To hire equipment independently, you must be at an advanced level of riding and pass a short on-site assessment.
The BN1 Edge: We provide high-quality, well-maintained kit to ensure your session is at its best. Our team will verify your ability to ensure the safety of both the rider and the equipment.
Requirements
To hire independently, you must demonstrate:
• Advanced Proficiency: Consistently staying upwind in various conditions.
• Safety Mastery: Clear understanding of board retrieval and self-rescue.
• PPE Compliance: A buoyancy aid and helmet must be worn at all times (included in hire).
Hire Costs
• Full Set of Kit: £90 per hour
• Kite Only: £60 per hour
• Bar & Lines: £50 (2 hours)
• Twin Tip Board: £40 (2 hours)
• Surfboard: £50 (2 hours)
• Wetsuit: £25 (2 hours)
• Harness: £25 (2 hours)
